Biomass facilities burn a number of types of wood waste, construction waste, agricultural products, and other types of organic materials. Ampersand is an experienced investor in the biomass sector, with investments in two plants in California and prior experience providing development financing. The firm is currently considering additional investments in biomass plants in California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, and Maine, while actively seeking other biomass investment opportunities.
