Small Hydro

 

Ampersand is currently in varying stages of examining several investments in small hydro facilities in the US Northeast. Ampersand intends to create several geographic clusters of small hydro facilities, and has established close relationships with several experienced operators of such facilities. Ampersand believes there are significant opportunities to pursue the acquisition of hydro stations of up to 5 MW in size. There are approximately 500 facilities less than 5 MW in size belonging to single asset owners, providing upwards of 2,500 MW of acquisition opportunities for Ampersand.
